Clouds and Such!

Did you ever have one of those days- Rough morning, nothing going right, just icky and grey with nothing in the plus column? The day that I photographed these clouds was one of those days- I saw the cloud formations and was like- yeah it's cool but I would have to get a camera, walk out to a good spot, climb onto the roof of the building- work!!! In the end I got my lazy butt in gear and just did it- by the end I was oooowing and Ahhhing the formations, composing the shots and in general having a great time doing what I love to do. It took me a couple of months to get back to these images but I am so glad that I took the time- We sometimes forget to take the time but in the end it can be the little things that turn our day around! Enough of the deep thoughts enjoy the sweet cloud formations and click on them to see them a little bigger!

Family Fun

It sure is a shame when a family comes in for a session and they are absolutely no fun~ It is as if every exposure is a torture and every second an eternity!!! Somehow the "W's" made it through their session relatively unscathed~ we had a delightful time and even brought out the fan creating a beautiful Glamour girl look for the ladies! Thank you for coming into the studio the day after Turkey day and having fun with it~ Here is your preview from your session!

Little Rose

Rose is two and she has some serious spunk!! She was pretty suspicious about the whole deal when we first started- she had plenty of smiles until the camera went up and then "FROWN!!!!". In the end we totally thwarted her~ she had lot's of fun and even through us a few genuine smiles to boot. Thanks to Rose and her mama for coming in and having fun with us!

Cori and Josh

Holy Moly- Cori got married!!!! We knew it was coming (her and Josh jumped in the pool at their engagement session!) but the day finally came and it's official. I sincerely wish these two the absolute best that life has to offer and having known Cori for a few years I know whenever life gives them lemons there will be a lemonade sale! Only one problem- we created over 2600 images and I have to edit them! Here is the sneak peak~

I am super awesome!!!

That might be selling it a little hard but I did get a service award! I was one of only 10 photographers in the state of Minnesota that was awarded the service award from the MPPA (Minnesota Professional Photographers Association). As some know (and I am telling everyone else!) I serve on the council of the MPPA~ we help to educate and create a network for our fellow photographers through planning educational opportunities, conventions, free seminars and a host of other "events". In honor of the the recognition they made me bar tend at the Fall Seminar so I thought I would put up some truly horrible images of myself! Kidding aside I feel extremely honored to be recognized by my fellow photographers and will continue to do my best for the organization and all of the friends I have made through it.

There is nothing like that "new" baby smell!! Meet Gabrial and Dan's new family member Tao- he did great in his first photo shoot especially since he was less than 24 hours old! It seems like we were just doing a maternity session with the family (that's right we were!!!) and now Lennon is a big brother. Congratulations on the little one and welcome to the world Tao.

Baby Max

Oh my gosh~ I almost forgot to give Max his day in the sun!! We had to do a expedited special delivery for Max's parents so I missed the blog posting. It just wouldn't be fair or right not to put Max up as we had his mom on the blog for her maternity session not to mention I photographed his parents wedding as well! Here you go max!

I am always a sucker for a Jack Russel and a fisheye lens!

Rocky the Racoon

The best part about having your own studio- Having Rocky the Racoon in for headshots and making my daughters month!!! Klara (as I am sure all little ones) absolutely loves oversized soft cuddly creatures. It was a bit of a quandry for her to watch Rocky take his head off (with a teenager under it!) but she rallied and forgave Rocky anways.

Sunset session

We had been trying to put this session together for 3 weeks andevery time we thought we had it - RAIN RAIN RAIN!!! I got the call to head up to Lindstrom about an 1 hour before sunset and I live about an hour away~ 90 miles an hour (fortunately no tickets!) on the way up gave us about 13 minutes to work with- These are some of the fun images we got~

My pool budies!

Say hello to my pool buddies!! We saw these guys everyday this summer at the water park- We have had the family in before as well but this particular session kept on getting talked about and never done! At least here it is and some of the results! Can't wait for the pool to open again so I can stay caught up.
