Glamourous custom containment

Most people probably don't know that we do quite a bit of commercial work here at the studio- I never put it on the blog until today because there is rarely a good story to go with it- this one does!!! I got a call from the designer who said "I want these things to look glamorous!" After I got done chuckling to myself I got to work and came up with these looks- those are some glamed out custom containers! Thanks to the folks at AIRTEX in Minneapolis for the fun assignment and Google their name they have some cool stuff!

Just for the record this "super hero" roller case took 9 strobes to get it to its full glory!

A family affair!

Ryan and Lucas have been coming into the studio since Ryan (and Lucas was just a future plan!)was one and it is absolutely amazing to watch them change and grow over the years! The two of them brought a friend with them this time and it was off to the park for some fun. I had to include the picture of Lucas running- notice his feet not touching the ground? There is a sequence of 5 images and his feet are not on the ground in any of them- is that possible!?!?!

Aaron and Acacia

Aaron and Acacia are awesome! These two are up for anything! We had so much fun together, I was on the ground (literally) laughing all day!! After being at one wedding with these two I decided back-up was needed...I brought two assistants so that three camera's were on them all day to catch all there witty "looks". Three photographers vs 4 in a wedding party!! We all had a great time! Congratulations You two!

Tara and Jason

Congrats Tara and Jason and thanks for having so much fun with us!!! It was hard to narrow down the images for the blog as we have so many great images to choose from. Highlights- the grocery store that we were pretty sure we were going to get booted out of, the failed groomsmen pyramid (the the successful one!), true love involves trust when your new wife has a driver and of course that really odd image below that reminds me of the camera angles in the movie "Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas"! Thanks again for sharing your day with us- a good time was had by all even if we had to drive 2.5 hours to get there!

Tess's Senior Portfolio

Tess has the best "bitchy look" around (I figure that if they can say that on TV I can say it on the blog!) bar none! I am going to have to go to over shooters anonymous after this session as we hit a gazillion different locations and made over 450 exposures! Besides hanging out with Tess and her mom- one of the highlights- we saw a deer- less than .25 miles from the center of downtown. You could totally tell it was an urban deer- with it's gang colors and the don't mess with me look that we got from it! Here is the quick peak from the day- there are a lot more to come!

Ryan and Michelle

Ryan and Michelle- Thank you, thank you, thank you- your wedding was an absolute delight to photograph! My streak of not falling off of anything officially came to a grinding halt last week and "OSHA" is back on notice. Although I was not on top of a ladder which is good my fall was was softened by the mud puddle I landed in! Who says your photographer can't be comic relief. In the end if was totally worth it as we were able to capture some amazing images from Michelle and Ryan's day- Thanks again you two and here are the "teasers'!

Maylay & TK

Mary rules!!! May and TK didn't have a photographer until Wednesday of last week! I shifted everyone around so Mary would be able to work with them on their day. Mary did a great job and May and TK will get images that they can cherish for a lifetime. Isn't it great when it works out!

Lindsey and Nick

WOW- This was an epic event and there might have been some planning involved!!!! Lindsey (with the help of others!) put on one of the most detailed, organized, planned event I have ever been happy (happy being the operative word!) to be a part of. The best part of it was the amount of love and emotion connected to the day- there was a moment when we had Lindsey and Nick alone- The look on Nick's face was like he could conquer the world just with his fierce love of Lindsey! Absolutely amazing- Thank you Lindsey and Nick for letting us be a part of your day- we now have a new record for the amount of images captured at a single wedding- over 4000 exposures! I wish you two the best the world has to offer!

Cori and Josh

Finally- I told someone to jump in the lake (or pool in this case) and they listened! These two teachers definitely know how to rock out an engagement session. I have all sorts of incriminating photos of Cori causing trouble so you better be sweet to me Cori!!! Here is the sneak peak you two- we have another 300 to go through!
