Happy Easter everyone!!!!

Happy Easter to everyone who celebrate it and to everyone else- Happy Spring- even though it doesn't look like it here! I hope everyone is going to get a long weekend with family and friends. We are spending the day on the couch with Klara in her Basket (ahhh isn't she adorable).

A new angel in the world

Welcome "Ella" into the world everyone! She was born today at 10:44am weighing 6#'s 14 ounces to two very proud and tired parents. Ella's hobbies include: sleeping, sleeping and dreaming of sleeping!

Testing/Portfolio Session with Audrey

Here she is the talented miss Audrey! She came in to update her modeling portfolio and also working on test to be a part of my "Creatures" project! A good time was had by all and here are some of the images from the session.

Baptism

Every once and awhile I have to just take a step back and appreciate how lucky I am! I have a job that I absolutely love that allows me to take part in some of the most special days in peoples lives- last week I was fortunate to be a witness to the baptism of Campbell and Henry- here are some of my favorites!

Gilly and Evelyn (and of course Nick and Christine!)

What A great end to the week! It seems like just last summer that we photographed Nick and Christine's Wedding when in all reality it has been several years and two children later! Gilly is the newest addition to the Hensgens family and had lots of smiles for us and was even more than willing to show us his tongue every chance he had. Evelyn is always a hard nut to crack but in the end we created great images of the whole family.

Thinking of Summer!

I have been living vicariously through some of my images dreaming of summer!! Here are a few images from Sally and Casey's wedding- it was in the 90's without a cloud in the sky and lots of love in the air- think warm thoughts as you check these out!

My sweetest little angel!

What kind of dad would I be if I didn't have images of my baby girl Klara!!! She has enriched mom and dad life since her quick entrance into our lives- Accidentally at home with dad delivering her in the tub!

Klara keeps me and her mother out of trouble which is always a good thing!!!

Award Winners and out of the Ordinary.

Here are some of the "Other" images that I create- the first one is the Scariest and did a number on the judges who were frightened into making it part of the MPPA loan collection- A great honor!

We are on the Council!

Alright so I am going a little crazy with the amount of posts today- but I should have started this blog last year and kept on coming up with excuses not to do it. So to catch people up it is official I am an elected official! Last June my fellow photographers elected me to serve them as their council 5 Representative. It was a great honor and I will do my best to not let them down! Since being elected I have been placed on the Nominating Committee and the Members Benefit Committee where I hope to help my fellow photographers.

We are Famous!!!!

Well probably not but we did get one of our images picked up for an advertisement in the "the knot" which is awesome! It is in the spring/summer 2008 on page 34/35 check it out if you get a chance. The image itself (see below!) is "wedding days first embrace" which was a "gold seal" award print at the last Northern Light Convention (The regional Professional Photographers Convention that includes all of Minnesota, South Dakota and North Dakota). A special thanks to Renee and Judd the happy couple that entrusted us to making the image!

Fun with Krissy

Over the next week or two I am going to be adding images from some of our favorite shoots and weddings. The 1st one is of Krissy a local model with a great look- the hair and Makeup were done by Chantelle Marineau (http://www.chantellemartineau.com/) one of the most talented Hair/MUA I have had the honor to work with!
